Try a job. Tell us what got in the way.
Use fictional business and client details for this first test. You don’t need to be a contractor to help us find confusing steps.
A short test run
- Choose a trade, add a fictional business name and enter the editor. You can also try skipping setup.
- Create a job for a fictional client. Add two items: 1.5 hours of labor at $80 per hour and one material at $25.
- Set a 10% discount and 8% tax. First make both items taxable: the total should be $140.94. Then make only the material non-taxable: the total should be $139.14.
- Preview and download the PDF. Check your business name, client, descriptions, totals and page footer.
- Duplicate the estimate and edit the copy. Confirm that the original is unchanged in Estimates.
- Export a backup. To test Restore backup, export any current work first and then restore the test file. Remember: restore replaces, it does not merge.
- Close and reopen the browser page. Confirm that your saved documents are still available in the same browser and website.
Also useful: try this on your phone, add a long description, and tell us where you had to stop and think.
Your testing report
This form does not send or save anything online. Generate a report, then download or copy it and send it to the person who invited you. Please do not include real client details or credentials.
Only the answers above and the report date are included. Your estimates and backups are never attached automatically.
