A little help with the paperwork.
Cercafix makes estimate PDFs. This early version has no accounts, cloud sync, automatic email delivery or customer acceptance tracking.
Your first estimate
- Choose a starting point. Select a trade and add your business name, or choose Skip for now. A price book is optional.
- Add your details. Open Your business inside the estimate. Edits apply to that document; Save for future estimates copies your contact details to your profile.
- Describe the job. Add your client, the job address and a clear title. Add custom line items or choose from your price book. Template prices start at zero: you must set them yourself.
- Check the numbers. Enter quantities, unit prices, discounts and a tax rate. Mark each item taxable or non-taxable. A deposit requested is not a payment received.
- Check and download. Preview PDF shows the actual document. Download PDF saves a file you can attach to your own email or message. Cercafix does not send it for you.
Templates, prices and currencies
Templates contain suggested item names and units only. You set your own prices. Existing estimates keep a copy of their prices when you update the catalog.
The price book has one currency. Changing the currency label does not convert amounts. Tax rates and taxable items are your own inputs; Cercafix does not determine tax obligations.
Draft, Sent, Accepted and Declined are manual labels. Marking a document Sent does not send it, and marking it Accepted is not a recorded customer acceptance.
Save a backup. Keep your work.
Export
Open Estimates or My business and choose Export backup. Keep the JSON file somewhere you trust. It contains your business details, logo, price book and estimates, including client details.
Restore
Choose Restore backup, select a Cercafix v2 JSON backup and read the confirmation. Restoring replaces the current workspace; it does not merge documents. Export the current workspace first if you want to keep both copies.
Move to another device or domain
Export from the old browser or test site, then restore the file on the new one. The preview address, Vercel address and www.cercafix.com have separate browser storage. A domain change does not move data automatically.
Another tab or a storage error?
If another tab changes the workspace, export any work you need to preserve and reload before editing. Use one editor tab at a time. If saving fails, keep the tab open and use Export backup before reloading. You will be warned when there are unsaved changes.
How your data is handled in this version
The application stores estimate data in your browser. It does not upload your estimates, client details, logo or prices to an application database. PDF generation and logo resizing happen on your device. There are no advertising trackers or analytics integrations in this release.
The hosting service still receives ordinary web requests needed to serve the site, such as the requested URL and connection information. This page describes the application’s current behavior, not a promise that hosting creates no logs.
Feedback reports are generated locally. You decide whether to download or copy a report and send it to the person who invited you. The feedback form does not attach your workspace or send anything automatically.
Supported use
Use a modern browser with JavaScript and browser storage enabled. PDF preview depends on the browser’s PDF support; download the PDF to open it in a separate viewer if the embedded preview is unavailable. The PDF font supports English and common Latin characters; other writing systems and emoji may not render correctly.
This is a testing release. Start with fictional details, check the output and keep backups. Let us know about anything that blocks your work through the testing report.
